Office Space Rents in Bulgaria Decline in 2008

Office space sales and rent prices were going up in the first half of 2008 but fluctuated in the second half of the year and in some areas were witnessed even declines, data of Foros real estate agency shows.The most significant decline in office space rents was registered in Veliko Tarnovo and Rousse - over 20%, while in Varna office rents went up by 9.28%. Rents in Sofia went down by 0.94%, while the average decline for the country stood at 6.84%.Sales price, however, marked an average increase of 2.74% for the country in 2008. Varna saw the biggest decline of 8.31%, while office space price rose most in Plovdiv - 16.05%.Office space prices in Sofia rose by 2.25% in 2008, Foros data show.
